So much to do... Will we ever finish one project?

OK, we have so many remodel projects going on, will we ever finish one? No we're just going to start more... I know, makes tons of sense.

So here are the projects...

1. Remodel Girls Room

Why, we had wind damage over a year ago that led to water damage that went undetected. The room was well...

Notice the lovely color. GREEN! The girls want to have NO green in their new room. So we decided to rip out all the paneling and drywall the entire room. Then we decided if we were going to do that we should also replace the rediculous windows that were there. So we replaced those. When the insurance adjustor was touring the place with Rob, he mentioned that the chimney really needed to be removed and the roof patched there. So we did that. Since the chimney ran through the girls closet and made it next to useless, we tore that out and built a whole new closet.

We still have some drywall to finish, mudding and taping, texture, prime and paint, carpet and baseboards. Then we're done...

2. Master Bathroom

We decided to start another project in our master bathroom. We were just going to put a little paint on the walls and paint the ugly oak vanities a dark chocolate color. Install some nice chrome faucets that mom and dad gave us along with towel racks and such that were lacking when we bought the place. But we decided since we were buying a texture gun anyway we'd fix some poor workmanship of the guy that built the bathroom. So we started ripping off drywall tape and sanding... We still have some sanding, the tape and mudding, painting and putting all the fixtures and mirrors back...

I don't think I have any pictures to go with this one yet...

3. Two more Bathrooms Remodel/Refinish Hardwoods downstairs

So while I was on vacation with the kids in Arizona Rob calls. We had a toilet in our guest bathroom break and flood two bathrooms, a closet, a hallway and the guest bedroom. The hard wood floors were covered in water. Again the insurance company came out. Those bathrooms would need new vanities, all the floors would need redone/refinished, baseboards must come off and holes drilled and filled with antimicrobial stuff... So now we have another project. And since we are so quick with them, we have decided to do all the labor ourselves so we can stretch the dollars.

So now... keep watching our blog and you will see some of our ideas.
