One thing I did not include in the budget, but is new is the toilet. It had already been purchased and was approx $80.00.

So there is approx $500 in the remodel of the Guest Bathroom including the tile that went all the way into the adjoining closet.

Master Bathroom - Vanity, Linen Closet and Granite Countertop

Today our Master Bathroom vanity, linen closet and granite countertop arrived. However, since we were originally quoted for a 72 inch vanity and no linen closet and later decided on a 60 inch vanity with 18 inch linen closet, we ended up with a 72 inch counter top and 60 inch vanity. Evidently the gentleman that was helping us with the order forgot to change the granite size, when he changed the vanity size. Not to worry, they are correcting and we will have the correct top long before we are ever ready to install it anyway.
I 'm getting really excited about the Master Bath! Its going to be so pretty!

Guest Bathroom - Accessories Purchased

I went shopping for a few colorful accessories while I was waiting for my Aunt's hand surgery to be done. Here are some pictures that include the few little trinkets (sp?) I picked up. I got the tissue holder and waste basket at TJ Maxx.

I got this little picture at Dollar General of all places! I thought it was going to cost a whopping $6. When I got to the checkout it was on sale for $4! What a deal!

Kids Bathroom - Progress Notes

OK, so Rob has plugged away at the kids bathroom. The shower head is installed and totally functional. In fact we have been using it... Rob has also worked some on the drywall and also decided to change out the water heater closet door. It is ready to install once the drywall is completed. But Rob is a little unsure about his capabilities with drywall taping and mudding. We do not want it to look like we did it ourselves. So he came up with a brilliant idea! We have a green chevy truck that we bought from a neighbor mainly because she was moving closer to her children and needed to get it out of the yard of the house before escrow closed. It does not run. Well, Rob called a guy that did some drywall for us in the past and did a nice job and asked if he'd be interested in a labor trade for truck deal. BINGO! He is! So we are going to pay him a little cash to cover gas to get to our house and give him the truck. He is going to finish the drywall work in the Girls' room, the kids bathroom and retape and mud our master bathroom that was done by the previous owner and you CAN tell. I'm so excited. He will get the work done quickly and that will rocket our work status ahead drastically. Besides the extra bonus of having one less vehicle cluttering our yard. We are soon to have Jeff Foxworthy jokes written about our yard!
